Aerial Photography & Data Acquisition
Imagery & Data Acquired By Skilled Operators
The quality of your aerial photography and/or data acquisition makes or breaks your project. Aerial Services’ expert flight crews, imagery specialists, aerial cameras, aerial film scanners, and LiDAR systems are ready to surpass your expectations and Map Your World®! Plus, with over 40 years of experience, you’ll know your project is completed with the accuracy and care you need.
Digital Photography
Digital photography has changed the way aerial photographs are acquired. These new cameras are versatile in many mapping applications and have higher positional accuracy than conventional cameras. In late 2008, Aerial Services, Inc. has became the first U.S. geospatial firm to purchase the ADS80 Airborne Digital Sensor, Leica Geosystems’ third generation state-of-the-art line sensor technology. This sensor is capable of numerous applications including orthophotos and 3D feature mapping. The ADS80-SH82 is one of the most advanced digital sensors ever released. When coupled with their robust and battle tested software tools, XPro, the sensor can turnaround finished services to clients faster than any other digital solution on the market. Further, the ADS80 provides a new level of accuracy and detail providing the ability to handle advanced mapping applications.

Conventional Photography
Conventional aerial photography is provided in black and white, color negative, color positive, and color infrared using advanced Jena LMK aerial camera systems. These systems include forward image motion compensation and gyro-stabilized mounts to control camera movement and provide crisp imagery. The cameras’ automatic exposure control and advanced flight management systems ensure your project is completed with quality and accuracy. All of Aerial Services’ camera systems are
calibrated by the USGS every three years and exceed all state and federal specifications for aerial photography.
LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging)
LiDAR technology offers acquisition of digital elevation data for large-scale mapping projects. Optionally, Aerial Services’ photogrammetrists can provide turn-key photogrammetric and LiDAR solutions by supplementing LiDAR data with traditional photogrammetric methods.
